About The Position

Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services. In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit. Registered Dietitians are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks: Provides nutrition-related expertise in the interdisciplinary treatment management of patients Demonstrates analytical skills for assessments, and critical thinking skills for appropriate decision making Implements the nutrition care plan and documents in ADIME format within the electronic medical records system Provides nutrition education programing to patients demonstrating excellent communication skills and strong nutrition counseling skills What do our current staff value at LBHH? Requirements

  • Licensure: Must be licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) through the Commonwealth of PA
  • Registration: Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required.
  • Experience: One year prior clinical dietitian experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior work with behavioral health population strongly desired.
