About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Dietitian Nutritionist at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton, GA. Located just 30 miles south of Chattanooga, TN, this 280-bed acute care hospital has 4 intensive care units, including a Level 3 NICU, Peeples Cancer Center and Bradley Wellness Center. In this fulltime position, the Registered Dietitian will focus primarily on oncology and cardiac rehab. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in GA
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management skills be a self-starter and a team player
  • The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • provide individualized 1:1 Medical Nutrition Therapy to oncology clients and cardiac rehab patients
  • collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding the patient's overall nutritional care plan
  • participate in weekend and holiday rotations with other members of the nutrition team
  • perform quality improvement initiatives
  • precept dietetic interns
