About The Position

Role Overview Grow your career with a team that shares your desire to make a difference Sodexo is seeking a part time (16-24 hours per week) Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team at one of South Houston’s most prominent hospitals, HCA Houston Healthcare. Position will provide inpatient RD coverage at HCA Clear Lake in Webster, TX a 500-bed acute care facility. What You'll Do Position will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and selected candidate will: Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients within the inpatient rehabilitation facility, as well as patients with a variety of other conditions Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and serves as the nutrition expert Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives for the department Educate patients, family members and facility staff in concepts of nutrition and diet modifications Work closely with Clinical Nutrition Manager and assist with projects and additional tasks as assigned What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement: Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Requirements

  • Be Registered Dietitian, with prior acute care experience
  • Licensed in Texas
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
