About The Position

Overview Shift: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM (3 days per week) We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to join the Robert Young Center (RYC) Clinical Mental Health Outpatient Services team in support of our Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (EDIOP). This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact on individuals in recovery by providing specialized, compassionate nutrition care within a multidisciplinary treatment setting. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team; including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, therapists, and nutrition professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care. Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition.
Dietetic Internship or equivalent Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved program.
Experience: Demonstrated competence of two years of dietitian experience using the nutrition care process
License(s)/Certification(s): Active registration status of Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the American Dietetic Association
Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in Iowa
Meets ongoing continuing education requirement to maintain license(s) and CDR registration

Responsibilities

Conducts group and individual counseling/teaching sessions, relating to the importance of proper nutrition for health promotion and disease prevention.
Works in a team environment and communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
Participates in interdisciplinary case conferences integrating the health care team in meeting the patient's overall plan of care.
Uses the nutrition care process to interpret nutrition screens, perform initial and follow-up nutrition assessments and implement interventions with a personalized nutrition plan of care.
Documents nutrition care according to department policies using approved format, content and timeline standards.
Interprets nutrition care orders and implement in patient education, group and individual counseling and meal services.
