The position is responsible for developing a plan of care to meet the patient’s nutritional needs. The role involves screening patients for nutritional status, recommending supplements, and providing nutritional support to physicians and staff. The dietitian will consult with inpatients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide nutrition education and assess patients at nutritional risk, making recommendations for nutrition therapy. Additionally, the role includes developing or ordering nutrition education materials and providing nutritional education to employees, outpatients, and community members as needed.
