POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Manager, Food Service, and Clinical Dietitian, the Dietetic Technician screens patients for nutritional status, cultural food preference, food allergies & meal pattern. They ensure menu food choices, supplements and tube feedings are aligned with current diet order. Makes accurate and appropriate documentation in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) on patient screening/diet information. Audits that patient meal trays are correct prior to leaving the kitchen. Reviews and audits patient menus assuring the food on the tray reflects the diet order & diet restrictions. Attends dietary/food service-related meetings, and provides assistance with special department projects, as directed.
