Sodexo is seeking a Dietetic Technician for a full time position at Willow Point Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 300-bed skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility located in Vestal, NY. What You'll Do provide exceptional nutrition care to patients on skilled nursing units in collaboration with the Registered Dietitian; be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process; participate in operational tasks, including meal rounds and test trays as well as long range projects to support the department; and efficiently and effectively organize clinical and operational responsibilities. Requirements
- Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) certification, or DTR-eligible
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- good time management skills, with the ability to function independently
- an interest in building strong relationships with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
- Associate’s degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice in a Dietetic Technician Program as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or Bachelor’s degree with completion of required coursework in a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) as dictated by ACEND
- Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)
- Limited work-based experience (0 to 3 months); ability to work with minimal supervision
- Nutrition & Dietetics Technician, Registered (DTR/NDTR) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
