About The Position

Join our Dietary Services teams with Main Line Health's Hospitals as a Nutritional Host or Food Service Assistant. We are looking for motivated candidates who are interested in a rewarding career in food service. This position offers various shifts including full-time, part-time, weekends, and as needed/per diem. Employees are required to work every other weekend and rotating holidays. Most schedules will include a mix of 8-hour shifts (6am-2:30pm & 11am-7:30pm) and 4-hour shifts (3pm-7pm). We have flexible scheduling options available, including 8, 12, 16, 20, and 40-hour work weeks, with positions working 20 hours being benefits eligible.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of culinary arts experience in a food service setting
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree in Culinary Arts (preferred)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare food service environment
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food service areas
• Communicate effectively with team members and patients
• Participate in catering events and departmental activities
• Support the nutritional needs of patients and staff
