About The Position

The Dietary Services Director will be responsible for overseeing the dietary department and ensuring that all meals are prepared and served in a safe, healthy, and timely manner.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Dietician, Diet Technician, or previous Dietary Director, meeting the requirements established by the State Regulatory Agency.
• Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
• One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Prefer candidate to possess, at minimum, a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of residents/patients
• Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences
• Manage and train dietary staff to ensure that they are providing high-quality service
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and order as needed
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
• Monitor and maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents/patients and their families
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all dietary needs are met
