Get to Know Your Team: Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital (specializes in surgical services, diagnostic imaging and pain management, offering state-of-the-art MRI, computed tomography and myelography technology. The Director of Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) is a Licensed Dietician (LD) with twenty-four hour responsibility for the FANS Department within established standards to achieve the mission and vision of the organization. The Director of FANS is responsible for overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the department and executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. The Director of FANS provides leadership and mentorship in the development of staff. The Director of FANS is responsible for monitoring and evaluating quality, patient satisfaction (dietetics) and employee satisfaction outcomes to implement strategies for improvement. Responsible for overall administrative, financial and clinical activities of assigned departments. The Director is a LD that performs a variety of specialized duties related to the receipt, interpretation and implementation of patient diet orders.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience as an LD and/or RD required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Dietary or Nutrition required.
  • Oklahoma State Board - Licensed Dietitian required.
  • Or eligibility (under the supervision of a system LD) with alternate state license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred.
  • At least one year of leadership experience in a hospital preferred.
