About The Position

We’re looking for a reliable and caring team member to help keep our dining services running smoothly. As a Dietary Aide/Dishwasher, you’ll play an important part in making mealtimes enjoyable and safe for our residents by keeping the dining room clean, serving meals with a smile, and ensuring our kitchen stays spotless.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred (but not required).
• Willingness to complete on-the-job training.
• Ability to complete the State of Iowa’s Sanitation course when available.
• Dependable, cooperative, and ready to learn.
• Someone who enjoys working with people and can follow directions with ease.
• Lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Standing, bending, and moving throughout your shift.
• Pushing and pulling food carts and equipment.
• Working in a kitchen environment with heat and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Clear and clean dishes after each meal.
• Operate and monitor the dishwasher to keep everything running smoothly.
• Make sure dishes, silverware, and cups are clean and sanitized.
• Set up and clear dining tables before and after meals.
• Serve food and beverages to residents with kindness and respect.
• Keep dining areas and workspaces clean and ready for the next shift.
• Support your team and pitch in wherever needed.
