POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Dietitian in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Food Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Requirements

Must have a ROCKSTAR attitude
Ability to read, write and speak the English language, communicate effectively, written and orally, to team members
Food Handlers Certification required to be presented during orientation/before working in the kitchen
Must have basic knowledge of budget management, staff management and various computer systems such as email, Microsoft, EMR, menu/tray card, online ordering
Experience working in a healthcare setting required
Holds a current and valid Food Service Manager's Certificate (ANFP) or CDM Exam eligible (Director will be required to obtain CDM credential within specified timeframe discussed upon hire)

Responsibilities

Assist the Dietitian in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Food Services Department
Ensure quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis
Maintain the Food Services Department in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner
Assist in implementing and maintaining written Department of Food & Nutrition Services policies, procedures, and systems
Develop shift assignments for team members
Provide routine performance evaluations of Food & Nutrition Services team members
Complete all assigned routine documentation in a timely manner
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and execute resident care plans
Perform administrative duties
Communicate any recommendations to the Corporate Support Team, Dietitian and/or Executive Director of Operations
Maintain regular attendance
Promote positive customer service
Adhere to the Department Food & Nutrition Services dress code
Understand that other duties not listed may be required as needed
Ability to understand and execute the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving of food process within Department of Food & Nutrition Services
Understand that role may require completing tasks assigned to unfilled positions and/or due to census fluctuations
