About The Position

Dietary/Culinary Aide is responsible to provide assistance in all culinary functions, including, but not limited to, taking orders and serving food.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with older adults
• Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities in a pleasant and professional manner
• Ability to use standard equipment used for culinary services
• Adequate experience in commercial food preparation to understand and manage the necessary volume of food preparation and service
• Ability to work independently and as a team without constant supervisory directive

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, in a timely manner
• Assist cook in meal preparation and other culinary services tasks as directed
• Perform all culinary procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Complete kitchen and dining room cleaning assignments according to the cleaning schedule or as directed
• Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
