About The Position

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to maintain care and use of supplies and equipment.
• Perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation and safety.
• Possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm when interacting with residents.
• Ability to seek out and incorporate new methods and principles into food practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and serve meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
• Prepare and serve nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods for residents who refuse served foods.
• Ensure food is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe department by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Follow Infection Control Precautions during daily tasks.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures to ensure utensils are ready for the next meal.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed.
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as directed by the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
