About The Position

The Dietary Aide at Lafayette Manor Nursing Home plays a vital role in supporting the nutritional and dietary needs of our residents. Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
  • Basic knowledge of food service and infection control practices.
  • Demonstrated patience and ability to relate positively with elderly or assisted living residents.
  • Capability to work effectively as part of a team in a healthcare or assisted living environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a dietary aide or food service role within a nursing home or assisted living facility.
  • Certification in food safety or related training.
  • Familiarity with special dietary needs such as diabetic, low sodium, or texture-modified diets.
  • Experience with infection control protocols specific to healthcare settings.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents and healthcare staff.

Responsibilities
