About The Position

The Dietary Aide assignments are determined based on the needs during the shift. You will report to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor to help ensure meal service runs smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Quickly learn the food service routine.
  • Set up meal trays for service.
  • Strip and wash returned trays and dishes.
  • Assist with serving various meals to residents.
  • Check and record the chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at the beginning of each shift.
  • Monitor water temperatures during the dishwashing cycles.
  • Operate the dishwasher efficiently.
  • Prepare nourishments and snacks as needed.
  • Sweep and mop the kitchen area to maintain cleanliness.
  • Carry out trash and garbage timely.
  • Safely and orderly store groceries.
  • Leave the kitchen clean and sanitary, assisting the Cook or Dietary Supervisor as needed.
  • Clean work surfaces and refrigerators regularly.
  • Maintain floors through sweeping and mopping.
  • Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
  • Work cooperatively and harmoniously with personnel across all departments.
