We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team and support the daily nutritional needs of residents in our retirement community. The Dietary Aide plays a vital role in creating a positive dining experience by assisting with meal preparation, serving residents, maintaining a clean and safe dining environment, and supporting the dietary team in delivering high-quality service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and understands the importance of respectful, person-centered care.

Assist with the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals according to resident diets and facility guidelines
Ensure food is handled and stored safely in accordance with health and sanitation regulations
Set up dining areas before meals and clean and sanitize afterward
Deliver meals to residents who dine in their rooms when needed
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and help maintain kitchen cleanliness
Follow special dietary instructions under the guidance of dietary staff or nursing
Monitor food inventory and notify supervisor of supply needs
Provide friendly and respectful customer service to residents and visitors
Support a positive, team-focused work environment

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must obtain a food handler permit within 30 days of employment
At least 6 months of food service experience preferred
Ability to read, write, follow directions, communicate clearly, perform basic math, and use basic computer systems
Reliable transportation to ensure timely and consistent attendance
