About The Position

The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to Health Center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus. The Dietary Aide is also responsible for maintaining safety and sanitation regulations at all times.

Requirements

• Must be 18 Years or older.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
• Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
• Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu and COVID-19 vaccine status.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in nursing home and/or food service preferred.
