As a Dietary Aide, you will be responsible for setting up dining areas, preparing meals under the direction of the dietary manager and cook, delivering dishes and trays, taking down dining areas, collecting items, discarding leftovers, taking out garbage, and cleaning various areas of the facility. You will also stock ingredients and monitor inventory, ensuring food is provided to residents consistent with orders or diet instructions. Effective communication and interaction with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
Food Handler certification pursuant to requirements by the State
Customer service experience

ServeSafe Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Set up dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
Prepare meals under the direction of dietary manager and cook
Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses, dishes, trash, etc.
Discard leftovers and take out garbage
Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, dishes, and equipment
Clean other others of facility as directed
Stock ingredients and monitor, food, beverage, and equipment/supplies inventory as directed
Ensure that food is provided to residents consistent with orders or diet instructions
Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisors
