About The Position
The Dietary Aide position at Laredo West Nursing and Rehabilitation Center involves assisting with food preparation, serving meals and beverages to residents, and ensuring the cleanliness of the dining hall and kitchen area. This role requires adherence to universal precautions and state/federal regulations, working under the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager.
Requirements
- Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Working in a commercial kitchen experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Follow the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals are completed cleanup of the dining hall and dishes
- Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations
- Preparing and serving beverages
- Setting up and passing trays for meal service
- Stocking snack cart
- Bussing of tables and trays
- Cleaning the kitchen work area
- Dishwashing
- Follow proper handwashing guidelines
- Additional special projects or tasks can be assigned at times by the CDM or the Executive Director
