About The Position

The Dietary Aide is charged with setting up, serving, and cleaning dining areas to ensure a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for residents. Between meal services, this role supports meal preparation, engages residents to enhance their dining experience, and assists other team members as needed. The Dietary Aide is also tasked with completing and maintaining required documentation in compliance with all regulatory guidelines and standards.

Requirements

• Team Oriented – strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and colleagues
• Strong Procedure Adherence – adheres to established protocols for food preparation, meal service, and cleanup
• Customer Service: Friendly, professional, and service-oriented demeanor
• Resident Sensitivity: Demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of residents
• Must be at least 15 years of age

Nice To Haves

• Dietary Aide Experience (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Check dining rooms and make sure all tables, counters and menu items are available and in place for the meal to be served.
• Transfer any food items from the kitchen to the dining rooms or resident rooms' that are needed.
• Ensuring the kitchen is stocked according to neighborhood needs and refills condiments, salts and peppers, daily.
• Return unused portions to the kitchen and notify the Executive Chef or Production Supervisor.
• Circulates through the dining room responding to the needs of the residents.
• Observes resident appetites and food intake as requested. Reports and/or documents to the manager any suggestions or concerns.
