About The Position

The Dietary Aide performs a variety of tasks in the preparation, presentation and service of food. This role is also responsible for maintaining department cleanliness.

Requirements

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Certificate from college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience.
Serve Safe Food Handlers Certificate - Within 3 months of hire into job
Experience in quality food production.

Responsibilities

Determines quantities of food items necessary for the meals.
Ability to identify high quality food through tasting, attractively and creatively portioning and garnishing food; including pureed and special diet food.
Stores and stocks food supplies in designated areas.
Washes and stores dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
Maintains department cleanliness by accomplishing daily cleaning assignments.
Prepares food such as salads, beverages, sandwiches, and pureed food.
Assembles patient trays.
Pushes loaded food carts to each patient area.
Delivers patient trays to the patients.
Has strong customer service skills.
Able to work independently and with little or no daily supervision.
Ability to use kitchen equipment (sharps, meat slicer).
Demonstrates System Values in performance and behavior.
Complies with System policies and procedures.
Other duties as may be assigned.
