About The Position

Lorien Harmony Hall is hiring Dietary Aides to support food service operations in their assisted living and memory care community. This role is essential to ensuring residents receive nutritious meals, excellent service, and a positive dining experience every day. Lorien Harmony Hall is a family-owned assisted living community located in Columbia, Maryland, with a long-standing tradition of compassionate care. As one of the first all-assisted living facilities in Maryland, they have spent decades helping seniors live with dignity, purpose, and comfort. Lorien Harmony Hall shares its campus with Lorien Columbia Nursing Home and has recently added Harmony Park, a dedicated Memory Care unit for residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Requirements

Must be 17 years or older

Responsibilities

Assist with meal preparation, tray setup, service, and cleanup in an assisted living community
Serve residents meals in a courteous, respectful, and timely manner
Ensure proper portion control, presentation, and special diet accommodations
Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards at all times
Clean and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas
Set up and break down dining rooms for meals and special events
Support cooks, dietary managers, and team members with daily food service operations
Observe residents during meals and report concerns or changes to nursing or leadership
Comply with facility policies, health department regulations, and safety guidelines
Promote a warm, welcoming dining experience that supports resident dignity and well‑being
