About The Position

This full-time Dietary Aide position, also referred to as a Patient Ambassador, is available at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital with a wage of $15/hour. Morning, day, and evening shifts are available. Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility. HHS, founded in 1975 as Hospital Housekeeping Systems, is a private, family-owned business dedicated to caring for its team members and providing honest, quality-driven customer service. Today, HHS provides services including housekeeping, food, and facility management to nearly 1,000 customers across six industries, including healthcare.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

Responsibilities

Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements
Provide excellent customer service for all patients
Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner
Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times
Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
