The Diet Aide performs a variety of tasks required within a food service operation including daily maintaining of the dish room as well as delivery and retrieving patient carts from patient floors. The Diet Aide / Dishwasher ensures that the dish room stays clean and organized. They set up dish stations and turn on and disassemble dish machines and 3 compartment sink in dish room. They spend their time loading and unloading dishes from dish machines, washing all pots & pans or utensils that come into contact with food, and scraping identifiers off everything. Responsible for removing garbage from dish room. Completes daily / weekly cleaning tasks to include mopping floors and cleaning food service equipment. All food service employees are responsible for maintaining excellent hand hygiene throughout their shift. The Diet Aide / Starter ensures patient tray assembly is completed in an accurate, safe and timely manner throughout the meal periods.
