About The Position

All Saints Sub Acute and Skilled Nursing is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our team. The dietary aide's assignments will be determined based on the needs of the shift, and you will report to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
  • Standing and/or walking very frequently.
  • Sitting occasionally.
  • Reaching with hands and arms frequently.
  • Pushing/pulling very frequently.
  • Talking and/or hearing very frequently.
  • Tasting and/or smelling very frequently.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally.
  • Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception; ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the food service routine within a short period.
  • Set up meal trays and assist with serving different meals.
  • Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
  • Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine at the beginning of the shift.
  • Observe water temperatures during dishwashing cycles and operate the dishwasher.
  • Prepare nourishments and snacks.
  • Sweep and mop the kitchen, and carry out trash and garbage.
  • Put groceries away in a safe, orderly, and clean manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and assist the cook or dietary supervisor when needed.
  • Clean work surfaces and refrigerators.
  • Maintain and sweep, mop, and keep the floors clean.
  • Participate in the orientation and ongoing training of dietary staff.
  • Work in cooperation and harmony with personnel in all departments.
