About The Position

Lorien Harmony Hall is hiring Dietary Aides to support food service operations in their assisted living and memory care community. This role is essential to ensuring residents receive nutritious meals, excellent service, and a positive dining experience every day. Located in Columbia, Maryland, Lorien Harmony Hall is a family-owned assisted living community with a long-standing tradition of compassionate care. It was one of the first all-assisted living facilities in Maryland, dedicated to helping seniors live with dignity, purpose, and comfort. The facility embraces advancements in medicine and technology to enhance care and quality of life. Lorien Harmony Hall shares its campus with Lorien Columbia Nursing Home and recently added Harmony Park, a dedicated Memory Care unit for residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Requirements

• Must be 17 years or older

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, tray setup, service, and cleanup in an assisted living community
• Serve residents meals in a courteous, respectful, and timely manner
• Ensure proper portion control, presentation, and special diet accommodations
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards at all times
• Clean and sanitize dishes, kitchen equipment, workstations, and dining areas
• Set up and break down dining rooms for meals and special events
• Support cooks, dietary managers, and team members with daily food service operations
• Observe residents during meals and report concerns or changes to nursing or leadership
• Comply with facility policies, health department regulations, and safety guidelines
• Promote a warm, welcoming dining experience that supports resident dignity and well-being
