About The Position

River Hospital is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Dietary team working per diem. This is NOT a full-time position and hours will be offered on a per diem needed basis. Job Purpose To prepare, service and deliver food to patients, visitors and employees as directed. Responsible for providing a safe and clean environment for the preparation, servicing and delivery of food products. Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• It is the employee’s responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession.
• It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue.
• The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year institutional experience as a cook or assistant cook preferred.
• General knowledge of food preparation, portion serving and Knowledge of Special Diets.
