Dietary Aide - Full Time The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in providing quality meals and nutritional services to patients, staff, and guests at Dallas Behavioral Healthcare Hospital. The full-time Dietary Aide collaborates closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service within a healthcare environment. Must be comfortable lifting up to 100lbs. Key Responsibilities: Serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a timely and courteous manner. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas. Assist in accepting deliveries, reconciling orders, and stocking supplies. Support cooks and dietary supervisors with food preparation tasks as required. Adhere to food safety, hospital policies, and customer service standards consistently. Participate in professional development activities and maintain compliance with hospital regulations. Lift up to 100lbs to store food boxes Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Licenses: Valid Food Handlers Certificate required. Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a dietary aide or related role, preferably in a healthcare or commercial kitchen setting. Skills & Abilities: Ability to follow food preparation instructions, maintain confidentiality, work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively. Screening: Successful completion of background check, drug screen, physical exam, and provision of positive employment references. Physical Demands: Ability to perform lifting (up to 100 lbs.), standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motions; work involves light to moderate physical exertion.
