About The Position

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and flexible Dietary Aide to join our team on an on-call basis. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong reliability and flexibility for on-call scheduling
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate and service-focused attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and tray setup according to dietary guidelines
  • Deliver and serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
  • Support residents with feeding as needed
  • Follow special diet instructions and portion control requirements
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas
  • Maintain proper food storage and handling procedures
  • Restock supplies and assist with inventory as needed
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
  • Be available to work on short notice, including weekends and holidays
