DEFINITION: Performs routine duties in connection with the preparation and serving of food. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Prepares coffee and tea for use in employees' dining room and patient wards. Loads, unloads, and cleans food carts, etc. Operates or assists in operating a dishwashing machine, washing and sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware or utensils, and washes pots, containers, etc. Collects garbage and removes it to loading area. Washes trays, carts, refrigerators, etc. Assists in receiving and storing warehouse deliveries. ( must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with the assistance of a co-worker and to reach high shelves using a ladder) Pushes food carts and delivers food to patients. Incidental to other duties, cleans kitchen work area, washes down walls and mops floors. Performs other duties as assigned and may also help in housekeeping as needed. Works as a cashier to collect money from employees and guests for their meals. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: No experience is required.
