As a Dietary Aide, you will enjoy working with our professional dining service team at Martha & Mary Health Services in Poulsbo. We offer on-the-job training to fulfill the duties outlined below and more. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and is seeking a satisfying career in the dining services and healthcare industry. Dependability, efficiency, positive attitude and teamwork skills will help the right applicant be successful in this position. Starting wage is $17.50/hr. up to $20.71/hr. depending on related experience as determined by Supervisor and HR Schedule: Friday/Saturday 12:30pm-9pm
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining kitchen work areas and keeping equipment, utensils and food plates clean and orderly.
- Sweep and mop floors
- Wash food preparation work tables, walls, refrigerators, and refrigerated walk-in storage.
- Remove garbage from kitchen area and clean garbage containers
- Assist in food/meal delivery and tray retrieval.
- Operate an industrial size dishwasher
- Assist residents to eat in dining rooms as regulations allow.
- Prepare coffee and hot water
- Ensure liquids are thickened appropriately when needed and served at proper temperatures.
- Prepare trays for residents and ensure accuracy in terms of diet and thickness of liquid.
- Set up stations with entrees, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and other food products and utensils.
- Provides general stocking duties in service area.
- Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables and breaks down stations at end of meal periods.
- Restock beverage areas.
- Interacts with residents in serving and dining areas.
- Any other duties as assigned.

- Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued at varying rates depending on length of employment. Accrual rates begin at 5.32 hours per month based on a 40-hour workweek. These accruals include the required sick leave per Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave Law
