Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Detailed oriented with excellent follow up skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee, resident and company proprietary information
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in long-term care or other healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the facilities dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
  • Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
  • Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
  • Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
  • Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room etc. as instructed.
  • Assist cook in preparing meals.
  • Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
  • Deliver food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas.
  • Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare environment is required.
  • The ideal candidate will also have previous organizational experience.
  • All other duties as assigned.
