About The Position

The Dietary Aide is responsible for setting up the tray line, dining room, and service of both at specified times. This role also involves the breakdown of all dishes and the dining room. Key duties include setting up all nourishments, desserts, salads, juices, and specials that do not require cooking.

Requirements

  • No prior training or experience needed.
  • Basic food production.
  • Ability to relate to the elderly in a caring manner.
  • Must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision or other employee assistance after the training period is completed and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English as to be understood effectively by another individual.
  • Any satisfactory combination of education, training, experience, or abilities in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Turning on all equipment to be used on tray line.
  • Setting up and serving of tray line. (Knowledge of diet therapy and how to make exchanges).
  • Able to operate dish machine.
  • Breakdown of all dishes from Nursing Home and dining room.
  • Cleanliness of tray line, refrigerators counter tops and steam table.
  • Thorough cleaning of floors.
  • Prepares between meal nourishments.
  • Breakdown and set-up steam table.
  • Prepare desserts and salads.
  • Assist cooks with preparation of food.
  • Other miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Abides by the standards and practices as set forth in the Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct.
