About The Position

Memorial Community Hospital and Health System (MCH) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our Dietary Services team. Under the direction of the Dietary Manager, the Dietary Aide assists the dietary team with organization of our Dietary department and delivery of food to patients. This position supports a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment and plays an active role in the hospital’s overall mission.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• At least 3 months of food service experience preferred
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and measure ingredients accurately
• Ability to lift and transfer hot food items up to 50 lbs
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to read and comprehend menus, diet orders, and written instructions
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
• Capable of calculating adjustments for special diets and food quantities

Responsibilities

• Support food service for patients, staff, and catered functions
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas and equipment
• Follow department safety protocols and food safety regulations
• Assist in maintaining standards for state inspections
• Uphold attendance standards and department expectations
• Contribute to performance improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Participate in required safety and training programs
