About The Position

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Requirements

  • Must present as courteous and professional at all times.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion.
  • Proficient and knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train.
  • Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner.
  • An understanding of the relationship between substance uses and mental health issues and/or self-help programs.
  • An understanding of boundaries and ethics.
  • Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations.
  • Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program.
  • Must be able to life a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Knowledge of Infection Control standards-hand washing, personal protective equipment (PPE) kits, blood spill kits, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED or work experience.
  • Work permit (if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Infection Control standards-hand washing, personal protective equipment (PPE) kits, blood spill kits, etc.
  • Record all food temperatures prior to serving.
  • Stock assigned units.
  • Set up dish area and dining room.
  • Set up and serve assigned meals according to facility/location procedures.
  • Wash dishes and pans, as needed.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas after all meals.
  • Remove all trash and cardboard after each assigned meal.
  • Receiving and storing of dry stock and procedure items in assigned storage areas.
  • Vacuum and mop of storage, kitchen, walk-in.
  • Attend mandatory trainings.
  • Adhere to all sanitary and infection control standards.
  • Daily logging of all refrigerator temperatures and monitoring cleanliness of all refrigerators in the nursing stations.
  • Utilizes standard precautions at all times.
  • Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of patients as defined by the patient rights.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Site Director.
