About The Position

We’re looking for Dietary Aides for our West Salem location, Salem Terrace/Mill Street Manor. A valid, non probationary driver's license is required for this position. Additional $0.50 per hour for driving shifts. This position works every other weekend and rotating holidays. Shift Availability: Full Time - Day Shift / Mid-Day Shift

Responsibilities

  • Dietary Aides are responsible for preparing beverages, cleaning and washing dishes, assisting with the serving of meals, and providing customer service to our residents, while following food safety requirements.
  • Responsible for keeping foods safe, using time and temperature control for safety guidelines.
  • Follows resident’s diet orders and preferences when serving meals.
  • Cleans and sanitizes food contact surfaces and work area routinely, ensuring the highest degree of sanitation.
  • Washes and sanitizes dishes, tableware, glasses, and other kitchen and dining room equipment/surfaces and ensures they are stored in a sanitary and orderly fashion.
  • May serve meals in the dining room or to resident rooms or at Assisted Living Facility.
  • Cooking may also be required
  • Prepare foods that are safe, appealing and nutritious.
  • Serve meals in an accurate, timely way.
  • Ensure that the information on each resident's meal card is followed.
  • Follow therapeutic menus and standardized recipes.
  • Forecast and monitor production.
  • Perform the duties on the task list and any other food service tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Apply high standards of sanitation to all tasks, including food preparation, food storage, and cleanup.
  • Work safely, following facility and department policies on safety and hygiene.
