About The Position

The Citadel of Skokie is seeking a Dietary Aide to join their team. The role involves serving meals to residents and maintaining cleanliness in the dietary department, ensuring that food is presented in an appealing manner and adhering to sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow sanitation process and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Experience operating an industrial dishwasher and the sanitation process of the kitchen, preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Experience in industrial food production preferred.
• Prior experience working in a long-term care facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance on a timely basis.
• Serves food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Assists in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Sweeps and mops floors as directed.
• Washes and cleans utensils as directed.
• Sets up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
