About The Position

Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units. The Dietary Aide, under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Services Manager, is responsible for safely preparing salad and cold food items, and serving meals to patients, staff and visitors, while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment in the kitchen, serving area and dining room.

Requirements

• High School or GED Equivalent Required.
• Experience as a Dietary Aide in an institutional setting is preferred.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in order to operate food service equipment and follow direction.
• Must be able to complete assigned tasks in order to provide an efficient, safe, sanitary, attractive and orderly facility.

Responsibilities

• Safely prepare salad and cold food items.
• Serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in the kitchen, serving area, and dining room.
