About The Position

The Dietary Aide II is responsible for setting up service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Responsibilities include maintaining the proper temperature of food, providing proper and attractive service to patients and staff, and cleaning all cafeteria areas. The aide must maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance, follow directions, and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Dependable, with previous experience working in quality food production.

Responsibilities

• Setting up areas of cafeteria beverages, food items, desserts, salad bar, fruits and garnish, soups, etc.
• Serving hot and cold foods as directed by the Dietary Supervisor.
• Setting up area with proper dishes, glasses, cups, and other eating utensils for meals, ensuring all paper supplies are on hand.
• Preparing snacks at required times according to facility policy, recording temperature of refrigerator and freezer.
• Cleaning and sanitizing utensils and food preparation areas after each use.
• Following posted cleaning schedules utilizing proper sanitation and cleaning methods.
• Practicing safety infection control and emergency procedures according to facility policies.
• Attending in-service education and staff meetings as required.
• Being courteous, considerate, and cooperative when communicating with all facility personnel and residents.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Dietary Service Supervisor and/or Administration.
