About The Position

In this role you will be: Assemble patient meal trays accurately according to diet orders, allergies, and preferences. Deliver and retrieve meal trays from patient rooms in a timely and courteous manner. Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding special requests, changes, or issues with patient meals. Provide basic assistance to patients with meal selection when needed. Assist cooks and other staff with simple food preparation tasks such as portioning, slicing, or mixing ingredients. Prepare nourishments, snacks, and beverages according to standardized recipes and diet restrictions. Set up serving stations and replenish supplies as needed during meal service. Clean and sanitize dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment following department procedures. Maintain cleanliness of food preparation, storage, and service areas. Dispose of waste properly and follow infection control guidelines and food safety regulations. Restock food and non-food items in workstations and tray lines. Rotate inventory and ensure proper storage of all food and supplies. Report low stock or supply issues to the supervisor promptly. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid PA Driver’s license with no violations to quality for a Dietary Aide II position required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred
