Nutrition Services at Union Hospital is looking to add a Dietary Aide to its team of caregivers. In this role, you will ensure that patients receive good nutritious meals that nourish their wellbeing, spiritually and emotionally, and contribute to a good dining experience for patients. When we do everything in service of our patients and caregivers, no detail gets ignored. A caregiver in this position works varying hours between 6:30AM – 9:00PM. Both Full-Time and Part-Time roles are available.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six months of experience in food service

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of duties to ensure proper distribution of prepared foods to patients, cafeteria guests and catered events.
  • Accurately set up and deliver patient trays and nourishments.
  • Distribute correct portions of food and beverage items.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of specific therapeutic diets.
  • Follow department standards and procedures.
  • Utilize and rotate food products, appropriately store leftovers and label and date food items.
