About The Position

Liberty Senior Living is currently seeking an experienced DIETARY AIDE. The Dietary Aide follows the planned menu and receives meal orders from residents. They prepare food and beverages for serving based on established procedures and provide food service to residents, including portioning, plating, loading, delivering, and serving resident meals. The role also involves assisting in serving plates and tray carts, washing, rinsing, and sanitizing glasses, dishes, silverware, and service ware according to established procedures. Additionally, the Dietary Aide cleans and sanitizes work areas and sinks after each meal or as needed, clears, cleans, and sanitizes tables, and sweeps and mops floors as assigned. They are responsible for cleaning cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, walls, garbage cans, carts, pantries, and other equipment in the department as needed, following posted cleaning schedules. The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation of meals, drinks, supplements, and snacks, and may assist with the duties of the Cook and Assistant Cook as needed and/or assigned. In case of fire or fire drill, the Dietary Aide is expected to shut off electrical equipment, close doors, and report to the Nurses Station for further instructions. Other job duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must purchase and wear required uniform.
  • Must be able to use equipment without jeopardizing the safety of self, others, or equipment.
  • Must be able to use supplies economically.
  • Must attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
  • Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Must read, know, and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies.
