About The Position

Diablo Valley Post Acute is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our kitchen staff as a Dietary Aide/Dishwasher. This is an on-call position, perfect for those seeking a flexible schedule in a fast-paced, rewarding healthcare environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, accurate, and high-quality meals while maintaining the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or healthcare dietary department is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate!
  • Strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to follow recipes, work efficiently under time constraints, and communicate effectively with the culinary team.
  • Must be dependable for on-call shifts and committed to maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks according to standardized recipes and daily menus.
  • Check every tray for menu accuracy, specific diet preferences, and professional presentation.
  • Prepare food in accordance with standard recipes to ensure the proper consistency for mechanical soft and pureed diets.
  • Wash dishes, perform deep cleaning duties following meal services, and ensure all kitchenware is properly stored.
  • Adhere to strict infection control measures and safety protocols to maintain a sanitary environment for our residents and staff.
