About The Position

Assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and food portioning as directed Deliver and collect meal trays in a timely and courteous manner Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using proper sanitation procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dish room, and dining areas Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines Properly store food and supplies according to facility policies Dispose of trash and maintain waste areas in a sanitary condition Assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating food and supplies Interact respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors Report any concerns regarding food quality, safety, or resident needs to supervisor Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to work in hot, wet, and humid environments
  • Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment and dishwashing machinery
