About The Position

A Dietary Aide assists in preparing and serving meals for patients or residents, ensuring that dietary needs are met while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and safety standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving food items.
• A caring and compassionate approach to working with patients, understanding their dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals according to specific dietary requirements and preferences of patients or residents.
• Deliver meals to patients or residents, ensuring that food is served at the correct temperature and in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
• Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of food items.
• Communicate with patients about their dietary preferences and restrictions, providing support and education on nutrition when necessary.
