A confidential healthcare facility in Oceanside, NY is seeking a Dietary Aide / Cashier to join its Food & Nutrition Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, and supporting patients and staff in a fast -paced medical setting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous food service and/or healthcare experience preferred.
• MediClear or equivalent healthcare credential required.
• Must complete facility orientation and training.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in high -temperature areas.
• Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate the employee cafeteria to meet department and healthcare facility standards.
• Handle cash and electronic transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
• Prepare, serve, and restock food and beverages for staff and visitors.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cafeteria areas, equipment, and food service stations.
• Follow proper food safety, health, and sanitation procedures.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to employees, patients, and visitors.
• Support food service programs for patient meal delivery and nutritional education as needed.
