Job Summary Summary Responsible to assist the Dietitian in the provision of nutrition services to broad patient population. This includes appropriate meals, between meal nourishments, and special formulas required by each individual patient.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Dietetics preferred
- Good communication skills.
- High level of service delivery.
- Attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree Dietetics preferred
- Dietetic Technician, Registered [DTR] preferred
- dietician experience with multiple patient populations 1-2 years preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides nutrition assessment of patients
- Provides diet counseling to patients which includes education, discharge information, tracking, menu selection, etc.
- Assesses patient calorie counts, % of food consumed by patient, conducts meal round, diet restriction monitoring, etc.
- Maintains pertinent records
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
