About The Position

The Diet Technician, Registered (DTR) is responsible for completion of admit nutrition screens, provision of diet education, and other tasks associated with the clinical nutrition component of patient care, all provided under the guidance and oversight of the Registered Dietitian (RD).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree OR associate degree in Food Science, Nutrition Services, or related field - Preferred
• DTR - Dietetic Technician Registration with the CDR (Commission on Dietetic Registration) - Required
• 1-year inpatient or outpatient clinical nutrition experience - preferred OR 1-year of inpatient diet office experience - preferred

Nice To Haves

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on and lead teams
• A thorough knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition and the ability to counsel patients
• Knowledge of medical records and medical terminology

Benefits

• Pay Range: $36.57 - $49.37 Hourly
• Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area
