About The Position

Candidate must hae a diet tech (NDTR) credential through CDR. NDTR will coduct remote bedside meal selections via phone, tablet, or video interface for assigned patient units. NDTR will ensure all meal choices comply with current physician-ordered diet modifications. May also assist in verifying allergies, dislikes, and cultural or religious preferences. NDTR may also provide brief, appropriate diet education when clarifying menu choices. We are seeking a Diet Technician (Full Time or Part-Time) to join our Nutrition Team supporting faciities all across the US remotely.

Requirements

  • Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related Science, required
  • Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming

  • One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning
  • Assists patients in completing menu selections
  • Collaborate with foodservice operations to ensure tray accuracy, delivery timing, and consistency with diet orders.
  • Provide feedback to the kitchen on recurring menu issues or frequent patient requests for substitutions
  • Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
  • Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies
  • Trains and mentor's patient services staff and interns as applicable
  • Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
  • Participate in pilot huddles and process improvement meetings.
  • Suggest workflow refinements to improve efficiency, reduce order errors, or enhance patient experience.
  • Stay current on dietetic technician competencies, including therapeutic diets, patient communication, and customer service
